Brake light switch
Brake light switch |
The control module receives current on pin 14 via the brake light switch if the brakes are activated.
The brake light switch is used for example if the driver decides to pump the brakes.
Each time the driver depresses the brake pedal, the ABS modulation will start again from the starting point and the lamp will indicate that the electronic control module is receiving voltage from the brake light switch. The electronic control module input from the brake light switch is continually monitored and grounded via the brake lights. If a circuit fault occurs the diagnostic trouble code is registered but the ABS warning lamp will not come on.
