Removal |
Left side:
1. |
Open the bonnet

Unfasten the electrical distribution box and move it away.
|
3. |
Part the electrical connection, push in the locking catch and unfasten it from the bracket.
|
4. |
Cut off the cable tie on the McPherson strut.
|
5. |
Unfasten the level sensor connectors.
|
6. |
Unfasten the coolant expansion tank and move it out of the way.
Right side: |

Unfasten the air filter housing over part and the mass air flow sensor and move it away.

8. |
Unfasten the connector cable tie from the branch bolt.
|
9. |
Part the connector and cut off the cable tie.
|
10. |
Also cut off the cable tie at the air filter housing mounting.
Jointly left and right side: |

Lift the car and remove the wheel.
|
12. |
Clean the area round the wheel sensor using a soft wire brush.
|
13. |
Undo the wheel sensor retaining screw and remove the wheel sensor.
|
14. |
Take away the rubber grommet and thread out the conductor.
|
15. |
Remove the conductor from the fastening clip and lift away the wheel sensor. Part the connector.

Fitting |
Jointly left and right side:
1. |
Thread the cable through and push the connector onto the bracket.
|
2. |
Fit the wheel sensor in its holder and tighten the retaining screw.
|
3. |
Lubricate the rubber grommet with soapy water and install it.
|
4. |
Press the cables into the fastening clips.
|
5. |
Fit the wheel and lower the car to the floor.
Right side: |
6. |
Connect the connector.
|
7. |
Fit a new cable tie to the air filter housing mounting.
|
8. |
Fit the upper part of air filter housing and install the air-mass meter.
Left side: |
9. |
Connect the connector.
|
10. |
Fit a new cable tie to the McPherson strut shaft.
|
11. |
Fit the level sensor electrical connection and coolant expansion tank.
|
12. |
Replace the electrical distribution box.
|
13. |
Close the bonnet and erase the diagnostic trouble codes.
