Adjusting handbrake shoes
1.
Lift the car and take off the back
wheel.
2.
Use a screwdriver to screw out the adjustment until the brake disc is blocked.
3.
Then screw the adjustment back until the brake disk drags slightly but can be
turned. It is of the utmost importance that the shoes are adjusted properly to avoid rattle. This
corresponds to 7 notches.
4.
Repeat the same procedure with the other back wheel.
6.
Pull up the handbrake to the 3rd-5th notch (2-cable) or 6th notch (1-cable).
Check that both rear wheels are locked. If necessary adjust the cable equaliser (see
or
).
