Background

On some cars the handbrake release button may stick in the depressed position on releasing a handbrake lever that has been pulled on very hard. In the event of complaints from customers, the following procedure may be adopted.

Procedure


1. Remove the left-hand brush in the cover by snapping it off its mounting.

2. Prise out the metal plate 2-4 mm so that it clears the cable/rod at its upper edge.

3. Refit the brush.
