Replacing brake pipe

Removal

Clean the connections of the damaged brake pipe.

Unscrew the brake pipe and any other securing clip.

Important
Use a brake wrench for fitting and removing nipples.

Insert plastic plugs into the open connections and removed the damaged brake pipe.

Fitting

Warning

Brake pipes should not be bent or strained after installation.

Using compressed air, blow the new brake pipe clean.

Position the pipe, remove the plastic plugs and tighten the connecting nuts.

Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 lbf ft)

Bleed the brake system. See section "Bleeding the brake system".

Check the tightness of all brake pipe connections.
