Front seat belts, 5D

To remove



1. Remove the B-pillar trim, see page 851-8.

2. Move the red plastic lever forwards to engage the belt pretensioner safety catch.

3. Drill out the pop rivet through the clamp round the belt pretensioner tube and remove the clamp.

4. Remove the belt guide.

5. Remove the screw at the top of the belt adjuster plate and lift the plate out at the bottom.

6. Remove the belt reel retaining screws.

7. Extract the belt reel and pretensioner.


To fit

Fit in reverse order.

Tightening torque:

Belt reel retaining screws: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)

Adjuster plate retaining screw: 24 Nm (18lbf ft)
