Tip the rear seat up, both
sections.

Five-door cars:
Remove the scuff plates for the
right-hand and left-hand rear door sills (secured by clips).

Remove the belt anchorages on the sides. They are mounted together with
the side collision protection devices.

| 4. |
Remove the middle belt anchorage.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the two rear head restraints.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the head restraint mountings from the seat belt member. Use a
screwdriver to release the catch inside the sleeve and knock the mounting upwards from
below.

Remove the middle cover from the seat belt member. It is secured with clips.
|

| 8. |
Remove the locking handle from the 40%%section.
|
|
| 9. |
Remove the right-hand cover and unhook the cable from the locking lever.
|
|
| 10. |
Remove the seat-belt member's release handle and disconnect the cable
from the handle.
|

| 11. |
Remove the left-hand cover from the seat-belt member.
|
|
| 12. |
Remove the covers from the seat belts.
|
|
| 13. |
Remove the belt reel retaining screws.

| To fit |
Tightening torque:
Belt reel retaining screws: 38 Nm (28 lbf ft). Floor anchorages: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft).

Take extra care to ensure that the cable runs correctly in the seat-belt member's release handle. Check that the seat- belt member opens and closes properly. |
