Remove the glove box.

Remove the panel from the side of the centre console.

3. |
Remove the air duct on the floor.
|
4. |
Remove the protective cover.
|
5. |
Remove the two fan control unit retaining screws.
|
6. |
Unplug the connector.

The aluminium spacer supplied with the fan control unit is not to be used. |

Wipe old silicon paste off the evaporator's mounting surface.

Apply a thin coat of silicon paste, part no. (16) 30 07 895 on the metal plate on the fan control unit and the screwed plate on the evaporator. This is important for the function and service life.

Make sure that the two sleeves on the fan control unit fit into the holes in the mounting surface of the evaporator. Screw the fan control unit to the evaporator.
Plug in the connector. Start the ventilation fan and put it on full speed. Check that condensed water does not leak from the evaporator. Seal if necessary. |

Refit the protective cover.

Refit the floor air duct.
|
6. |
Refit the panel on the side of the centre console.
|
7. |
Refit the glove box.
|
8. |
Calibrate the ACC system by pressing the "AUTO" and "OFF" buttons simultaneously.
