To remove


1. Detach the gas springs from the boot lid.


2. Fold down the luggage compartment trim by the rear left-hand lamp and disconnect the boot lid wiring.

3. Loosen the grommet for the wiring in the side plate.

4. Detach the left-hand gas spring from the ball joint at the side plate.

5. Remove the nuts securing the boot lid to the hinges and, with an assistant, lift off the lid.


To fit



1. Put the boot lid in position and tighten the nuts.

2. Insert the wiring through the side plate and fit the grommet.

3. Plug in the wiring.

4. Press the left-hand gas spring onto the ball joint at the side plate.

5. Put the luggage compartment trim in place.

6. Press the gas spring onto the boot lid.
