When the soft top has been lowered, the main motor stops and the fifth bow motor starts to raise the fifth bow closer to the fourth bow. If this is the problem, the soft top must be reprogrammed. Be especially precise with the values used to calculate the overlap values for the main motors and the fifth bow motors.

If the problem persists, try the following:

Reduce the main motor overlap value one unit at a time or
|
|
|
•
|
Increase the fifth bow overlap value one unit at a time.
Do not change the overlap values more than 3 units, as this will cause other problems such as the rear window knocking against the head restraints.

Carry out MI 811-1663 if it has not been done previously.

The second bow is not returned so that it knocks against the front side rails. This will cause the balance links to bend.
