Before changing a control module
After having carried out all the procedures for the corresponding diagnostic trouble code or for the separate function checks without finding any faults, it is reasonable to suspect a malfunction in the control module.
Considering that the control module is a component of extremely high quality and is very expensive, it is important to confirm the diagnosis as definitely as possible.
Therefore, go through the following steps before definitely confirming a TSAS control module malfunction.
1.
Check that all the steps in the corresponding fault diagnosis procedure have been carried out correctly once again.
2.
Study the wiring diagram for the corresponding circuit and make sure you are aware of its function. Use the corresponding sections in the description of operation and the description of the electrical operation in Service Manual 3:2 Wiring diagrams, to help you.
3.
Make sure that the control module ground connections and the corresponding grounding points are correctly grounded.
4.
Check the power supply to the control module.
5.
If the original fault persists after these checks, the TSAS control module must be replaced.
