Raising the soft top

Raising the soft top

The same conditions apply for raising the soft top as for lowering it except that the soft top storage does not have to be in its lowest position. If a fault should occur, the soft top system control module will again interrupt the motion and send a message to SID, which will sound an acoustic signal and display an error message.

The soft top is raised (closed) in the following sequence:

1. The door and side windows are lowered a few centimetres.

2. The soft top cover latches open.

3. The soft top cover opens completely.

4. The soft top starts to rise.

5. The fifth bow stops.

6. The soft top is extended to the windscreen member.

7. The fifth bow is raised to its highest position.

8. The soft top cover is lowered.

9. The soft top cover closes.

10. The fifth bow is lowered.

11. The fifth bow is locked.

12. SID sounds an acoustic signal .

The latch handles in the first bow must then be locked manually.
