Remove the right-hand and left-
hand side section retaining screws and slide the sections out of the centre console.

Cars with a manual gearbox:
Remove the gear-
lever gaiter, using a screwdriver. The gaiter is secured by clips.
Cars with ACC: |

Press out the ACC module from behind and unplug the connector.
Cars without ACC: |

Press out the heating control panel from behind.

5. |
Disconnect the air distribution shaft from the air distribution control.
|
6. |
Unplug the connectors for the air distribution control lighting, fan
speed, heated rear window and air recirculation.
|
7. |
Detach the heating control cable from the air distribution control
module. The cable is attached to an eyebolt and secured with a locking washer.

8. |
Remove the heating control panel.
|
9. |
Unplug all the centre console connectors.
|
10. |
Remove the expanding rivets securing the console to the dashboard.
Press in the centre pin about 3 mm and withdraw the rivet.

11. |
Lift out the centre console.

To fit |

Fit the centre console in place
over the gear lever.
|
2. |
Fit the expanding rivets securing the console to the dashboard
(first press the rivet in place and then press in the centre pin). Do
not tighten the rear retaining screw, this screw also secures the floor
console.

Plug in all the centre console connectors.
Orange connector - heating in right-hand seat Yellow connector - heating in left-hand seat. Cars with ACC: |

Plug in the ACC module's connector and press the module in place.
Cars without ACC: |
5. |
Fit the heating control cable to the valve control module. The
cable is attached to an eyebolt and secured with a locking washer.

Plug in the connectors for the valve control lighting, fan speed,
heated rear window and air recirculation.

7. |
Connect the air distribution shaft to the air distribution control.
|
8. |
Refit the heating control panel.

9. |
Cars with a manual gearbox:
Refit the gearlever
gaiter (secured by clips).
|
10. |
Refit the right-hand and left-hand side sections by sliding their
guides onto the centre console and securing them with the retaining
screws.
