Circuit/System Testing |
1. |
Ignition OFF, test for less than 5 Ω between the X88 Trailer Connector terminal 3, 11, 13 and ground. |
2. |
If greater than the specified value, test the appropriate ground circuit for an open circuit/high resistance. |
3. |
Connect a test lamp between the X88 Trailer Connector terminal 2 and ground. |
4. |
Command the Trailer Fog Lamp(s) Active/Inactive test with a scan tool. The test lamp should turn ON and OFF when changing between the commanded states. |
5. |
If the test lamp is always ON, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K68 Trailer Lighting Control Module. |
6. |
If the test lamp is always OFF, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the K68 Trailer Lighting Control Module. |
7. |
If all the circuits test normal, test the fog lamps circuit at the trailer. |
