To make it easier to pull off on slippery road surfaces, the transmission is equipped with a winter mode. The transmission is then prevented from automatically engaging 1st and 2nd gears, and the car will start in 3rd gear.

A spring-loaded switch located in the selector lever console switches to the WINTER shifting program.

Activating the switch puts 0 V (ground) on control module pin 21.

When WINTER is selected, the WINTER indicator lamp in the main instrument unit goes on. WINTER can be selected in gear position D, whereby SPORT cannot be selected.



WINTER will be disengaged if:


• the switch is pressed

• the ignition switch is turned to the ON or OFF position

• the fluid temperature is >140°C.

• limp-home is activated.
