Clean the hydraulic body.

Remove the dust caps.
|

Press out the brake piston with compressed air through the hose connection. Use
89 96 712 Removal tool, rear brake piston
.
Warning
|
Protect your eyes from fluid splashes. Mind your fingers when the brake piston is pressed out.

|
|
|
|
6.
|
Remove the piston ring.
|
7.
|
Check for damage due to wear.
|

Lubricate the piston rings with grease included with the kit. Grease the dust caps as well.
|
2.
|
Fit the piston rings in the cylinder barrel.
|
3.
|
Fit the pistons in the cylinders and press the dust caps in place.
Important
|
It is important that the pistons are positioned correctly in the caliper. Check the position by taking a control measurement. The measurement should be 29 mm (1.14 in). Use inspection gauge 8995 342, template, brake piston.
