Welding |
Disconnect the battery's negative cable and cover it before starting any welding work.
Painting |
Before painting, cover the ground connections and weld bolts in the SRS control module retaining bracket with masking tape to ensure the integrity of the control module's ground connection.
Electrical work |
Electric cables in the airbag system must not be spliced. Splicing can be the cause of system malfunctions which could result in injury or render the system unserviceable.

Work on the car body |
If work on the car body involves hammering and other impacts, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position.
Work on the steering gear |
If any work is carried out when the contact roller is fitted and the steering column shaft is not connected to the steering gear, the steering wheel must be locked in position so that the basic setting of the contact roller will not be altered.
