Oil pump, removing and fitting

To remove


Remove the oil pan - see Oil pan, removing and fitting .

Remove the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

Remove the multi-belt - see Multi-belt, removing and fitting . Remove the multi-belt tensioning device - see Tensioning device for multi-belt, removing and fitting . Remove the bottom of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover bottom part, removing and fitting .

Before removing the tooth belt: Turn the crankshaft to 60° (dim I) before the TDC mark.


1. Remove the multi-belt - see Multi-belt, removing and fitting .

Remove the tooth belt tensioning pulley - see Tooth belt tensioning pulley, removing and fitting .

2. Remove the tooth belt idler pulley - see Tooth belt guide rollers, removing and fitting .


3. Remove the ignition module - see Ignition module, removing and fitting .

4. Remove the camshaft cover - see Camshaft cover, removing and fitting .

5. Remove the camshaft sprocket - see Camshaft sprocket, removing and fitting .

6. Rear tooth belt cover - see procedure Rear tooth belt cover, removing and fitting .

7. Remove the oil intake pipe (1) from the oil pump and the engine block.

8. Pull off the cable set connector (1) from the oil pressure switch.


9. Remove the oil pump (4) from the engine block.

10. Take out the sealing ring (5) from the oil pump.

Clean the sealing surfaces and remove remains of sealant.


To fit


1. Fit the oil pump together with a new seal (1) on the engine block - tightening torque 10 Nm.


2. Check that the oil pump casting engages in the coolant pump groove.

3. Slide the protective collar (2) for the respective tool onto the crankshaft journal. Moisten the new sealing ring lip with a little silicone grease (white) and slide it over the protective collar on the crankshaft journal.

4. Remove the protective collar from the crankshaft journal.

5. Press the sealing ring with KM-417 and KM-6010 (4) respectively into the oil pump using tooth belt sprocket bolt (3) and washer (5).

6. Slide the tooth belt sprocket onto the crankshaft.


Connect the cable set connector to the oil pressure switch.

Fit the oil intake pipe together with a new sealing ring onto the oil pump - tightening torque 8 Nm Recut the threads before reusing and fit the bolts with locking compound (red). The fitting time including checking the torque may be up to 10 min.

Fit the oil intake pipe onto the engine block - tightening torque 8 Nm.

Fit the rear tooth belt cover - see Rear tooth belt cover, removing and fitting .

Fit the camshaft sprockets - see Camshaft sprocket, removing and fitting .

Fit the camshaft cover - see procedure Camshaft cover, removing and fitting .

Fit the ignition module - see procedure Ignition module, removing and fitting

Fit the tooth belt guide rollers - see Tooth belt guide rollers, removing and fitting .

Fit the tooth belt tensioning pulley - see Tooth belt tensioning pulley, removing and fitting .

Fit the tooth belt - see Tooth belt, removing and fitting .

Fit the bottom of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover bottom part, removing and fitting .

Fit the tensioning device for the multi-belt - see Tensioning device for multi-belt, removing and fitting .

Fit the multi-belts - see Multi-belt, removing and fitting .

Fit the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

Fit the oil pan - see Oil pan, removing and fitting .
