The A/C receiver and the compressor oil absorb moisture from the air, which can then not be removed. Plug all connections that are opened immediately. |

To remove |
1. |
Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system, see
Draining and filling the refrigerant
.

2. |
Remove the air filter housing cover.
|
3. |
Detach the mass air flow sensor pipe.
|
4. |
Remove the right
headlamp
.
|
5. |
Detach the upper PAD connection on the condenser. Plug the openings.
|
6. |
Dismantle the PAD connection from the receiver. Plug the openings.
|
7. |
Dismantle PAD connection on the front right structural member. Plug the openings.
|
8. |
Lift out the receiver's high pressure pipe.

To fit |
1. |
Adjust the oil quantity in the A/C system. See
Filling and adjusting the compressor oil
.

2. |
Insert the receiver's high pressure pipe into position.
|
3. |
Fit the receiver's high pressure pipe to the reciever using a new seal.
Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 lbf ft) |
4. |
Fit the receiver high pressure pipe to the PAD connection on the front right structural member using a new seal.
Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 lbf ft) |
5. |
Attach the upper PAD connector to the condenser using a new seal.
Tightening torque 15 Nm (13 lbf ft) |
6. |
Fit
headlamp

7. |
Attach the mass air flow sensor pipe.
|
8. |
Fit the air filter housing cover.
|
9. |
Vacuum pump and fill the A/C system with refrigerant. See
Draining and filling the refrigerant
