Differential cover gasket, replacement

If fitted: Remove the lower engine compartment shield.
|
1.

Position an oil tray to collect the gearbox oil which will run out. Remove the differential cover (10 fixing bolts). If necessary free the cover with light taps of a rubber hammer. Remove the cover gasket.

2.
|
Use grease to hold a new gasket in place on the differential housing cover.
|
|
3.
|
Fit the differential housing cover to the gearbox.
|
|
Tightening torques
|
Light alloy design:

18 Nm
|
Adjust the gearbox oil level. See service procedure
