Heat shield between the engine and turbocharger

/ 9-3 (9440) / 2009 / 2. Engine / V6 petrol / Turbocharger system / Adjustment/replacement / Heat shield between the engine and turbocharger

To remove

1.	Remove Turbocharger, B284 or Turbocharger, 4WD .

2.	Detach the engine vent pipe.

3.	Detach the upper retaining bracket of the catalytic converter.

4.	Remove the heat shield bolts and nut.

5.	Lift away the heat shield.

To fit

1.	Make sure that the spacer is in place. Fit the heat shield.

2.	Fit the bolts and nut of the heat shield.

3.	Fit the upper retaining bracket of the catalytic converter. Tightening torque, M10: 42 Nm (31 lbf ft)

4.	Fit the engine vent pipe.

5.	Fit Turbocharger, B284 or Turbocharger, 4WD .
