Rear crankshaft seal

Rear crankshaft seal

To remove


1. Remove the gearbox. See Manual gearbox assembly, Z19DT/DTH , Automatic transmission assembly, Z19DTH , Automatic transmission assembly, Z19DTR or Manual gearbox assembly, Z19DTR .

2. Aut : Remove the driver plate.

3. Man : Remove Flywheel.

4. Remove the oil sump, see Oil sump in car or Oil sump in car Z19DTR .

5. Remove the bolts.


6. Remove the crankshaft sealing ring.


To fit


1. Clean the sealing surface.

2. Fit the crankshaft sealing ring using 32 025 044 Fitting tool, crankshaft seal .


3. Fit the bolts.

Tightening torque 9 Nm (6 lbf ft).


4. Fit the oil sump, see Oil sump in car or Oil sump in car Z19DTR .

5. Man : Fit Flywheel .

6. Aut : Fit the driver plate. Use Thread locking adhesive, Loctite 270 .

Tightening torque 160 Nm (118 lbf ft)

7. Fit the gearbox. See Manual gearbox assembly, Z19DT/DTH , Automatic transmission assembly, Z19DTH , Manual gearbox assembly, Z19DTR or Automatic transmission assembly, Z19DTR .
