Preheated oxygen sensor (136), Z19DTR

To remove


1. Remove the Battery cover, lower section .

Important

Take care when releasing the locking mechanism on the connector so as not to damage the connector. Pull the halves straight apart to avoid bending the pins. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


2. Unplug the connector (A).


3. Remove the connector (B).

4. Raise the car.

5. CV : Remove Chassis reinforcement, front subframe, CV, diesel .

6. Remove the lower engine cover (A).


7. Use 83 96 350 Oxygen sensor removal sleeve and remove the oxygen sensor (A).



To fit


1. Apply a thin coating of 90 513 210 Universal paste to the threads.

2. Use 83 96 350 Oxygen sensor removal sleeve and fit the oxygen sensor (A).

Tightening torque 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)

3. Fit the lower engine cover.


4. CV : Fit Chassis reinforcement, front subframe, CV, diesel .

5. Lower the car.

Important

Take care when plugging in the connector so as not to damage or press out the pins/sleeves in the connector. For further information regarding connectors, refer to Connectors, handling and inspection .


6. Plug in the connector (B).


7. Plug in the connector (A).

8. Fit the Battery cover, lower section .
