To remove |

Remove
Spring, 4WD

Mark and remove the toe-in link adjuster screw (A).
|
3. |
Remove the anti-roll bar link (A) from the steering swivel member.
|
4. |
Clean and lubricate the threads in the outer toe-in link retaining bolts.
|
5. |
Remove the nut (B) securing the toe-in link to the steering swivel member. Hold with a 10 mm sleeve and remove the nut.

6. |
Remove the toe-in link.

To fit |
1. |
Put the toe-in link into place.

2. |
Fit the adjuster screw and washer to the toe-in link. Fit a new nut hand-tight.

3. |
Fit the nut (B) which holds the toe-in link to the steering swivel member. Hold with a 10 mm sleeve. Tighten the toe-in link nut with the correct torque, use
89 96 613 Sleeve, MacPherson strut.
Tightening torque 75 Nm +60° (55 lbf ft +60°) |
4. |
Fit the anti-roll bar link (A) to the steering swivel member.
Tightening torque 53 Nm (39 lbf ft) |
5. |
Raise the steering swivel member to normal position 374 mm (A) between the drive shaft centre and the wing edge.

6. |
Tighten the adjuster screw nut (A). Make sure that the marking on the adjuster screw ends up in the right position.
Tightening torque 75 Nm +60° (55 lbf ft +60°) |

Fit
