Camshaft cover with gasket, A20NFT/LHU

To remove


1. Remove the upper engine cover.

2. Remove upper pressure pipe. See Upper pressure pipe, charge air cooler, A20NFT/LHU .

3. Remove air filter housing cover. See Air filter, A20NFT/LHU .

4. Remove air cleaner connection. See Air cleaner connection hose A20NFT/LHU.

5. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose (A) from the turbo.


6. Remove bracket (A) for hoses/pipes.


7. Remove the ignition coils. See Ignition coil with integrated power amplifier (320), A20NFT/LHU .

8. Undo contact housing (A) and remove and move to one side the wiring harness (B) from the camshaft cover.


9. Remove the camshaft cover (A).


10. Remove the camshaft cover gasket and seals around the spark plug holes.


To fit


1. Fit the camshaft cover (A) with new gaskets for the screws. Check that the gaskets remain in place during fitting.

Tightening torque 10 Nm (7 lbf ft)


2. Fit wiring harness (B) to the camshaft cover and connect contact housing (A).


3. Fit the ignition coils. See Ignition coil with integrated power amplifier (320), A20NFT/LHU .

4. Fit bracket (A) for hoses/pipes.


5. Fit the crankcase ventilation hose (A) to the turbo.


6. Fit air cleaner connection. See Air cleaner connection hose A20NFT/LHU .

7. Fit air filter housing cover. See Air filter, A20NFT/LHU.

8. Fit upper pressure pipe. See Upper pressure pipe, charge air cooler, A20NFT/LHU .

9. Fit the upper engine cover.
