Control module, incl. solenoid valve (724), B207

Warning

The hydraulic pressure in the differential clutch is very high. Wait for at least 10 minutes before removing any parts from the differential clutch.


Important

It is very important to observe maximum cleanliness when working on the differential clutch. Dirt particles can seriously damage the function and service life of the differential clutch.


To remove


1. Carry out Diagnostic procedures before replacing control modules .

2. Raise the car.

3. Remove Complete exhaust system, B207, 4WD .

4. Remove propeller shaft .

5. Remove the hooks (A) from the control module and take the protective cover (B) off the hydraulic pump.


6. Undo the cable clips (A).


7. Dismantle the electrical connection (A).


8. Support the differential clutch with a pillar jack, secure with a strap (A).


9. Remove screws (B) from the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

10. Lower the differential clutch and limited slip differential enough to remove the control module, be careful not to damage the drive joints.

11. Pull out the locking pin and dismantle the electrical connection (A).


12. Remove the control module and valve (B).


To fit


1. Fit the control module and valve (B).

Tightening torque: 5.7 Nm (4.2 lbf ft)

Important

Do not separate control module and valve.



2. Fit the electrical connection (A).

3. Raise the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

4. Fit screws (B) to the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

Tightening torque: 90 Nm (66.4 lbf ft) + 90°+15°


5. Remove the strap (A).

6. Fit the electrical connection (A).


7. Fit the cable clips (A).


8. Fit the protective cover (A) to the hydraulic pump and attach the hooks (B) to the control module.


9. Fit the propeller shaft .

10. Fit Complete exhaust system, B207, 4WD .

11. Lower the car to the floor.

12. Carry out Procedure after replacement of control module .
