To remove |
1. |
Lift off the battery cover and disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. |
Remove
the right-hand wheel arch liner
.
|
3. |
Lower the subframe about 100 mm (4 in). See
Subframe, A20NFT/LHU, 4WD
.

4. |
Position a receptacle under the car. Remove the delivery line (A) from the steering gear and plug the connection.
|
5. |
Remove the delivery line from the power steering pump (B).
|
6. |
Remove the delivery line.

To fit |
1. |
Attach the delivery line to the power steering pump (B)
Tightening torque 27 Nm (20 lbf ft) |
2. |
Fit the delivery line (A) to the steering gear. Use new O-rings.
Tightening torque 32 Nm (24 lbf ft) |
3. |
Wipe clean any spilled oil from the subframe.

4. |
Install the subframe. See

5. |
Install the
right-hand wheel arch liner
.

6. |
Connect the negative battery cable and fit the battery cover.
|
7. |
Fill with power steering fluid and bleed the power steering steering system, see
Hydraulic system EHPS, filling and bleeding, A20NFT/LHU
.
