Preliminary Procedures

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Remove the right wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement .

Drain the fluid from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement .

Intermediate Shaft Bearing Retainer Bolt (Qty: 3) Refer to Fastener Caution .

22 Nm (16 lb ft)

Intermediate Shaft Assembly

It maybe necessary to maneuver the intermediate shaft in such a manner as to remove it from the support bracket.
