Cut the old steering gear boot inner clamp.
Discard the clamp.

Use the

pliers in order to crimp the new steering gear inner boot clamp.

Steering Gear Boot
Procedure
1.
|
After removing the boot, inspect the inner tie rod for evidence of corrosion or contamination. If none is evident, continue with the repair. If corrosion or contamination is evident, replace the steering gear. Refer to

|
Ensure the new steering gear boot is seated in the assembly groove of the steering gear.
