Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure


1. Remove the windshield garnish molding.

2. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With C3U) ; Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without C3U) .

3. Remove the air intake raster panel.

Note

If the work concerns the drainage hose on the left side, the windscreen wiper linkage must be removed to access the drainage hose lead-through.


If the work concerns the left side, dismantle the windscreen wiper linkage.

5. If the work concerns the right side, remove the air duct plate to access the drainage hose lead-through.

6. Disengage the sunroof drain hose from the attachment points on the windshield pillar (1).


7. Disconnect the front sunroof drain hose from the sunroof drain spigot (2).

8. Loosen the drainage hose and lead-through (3) from the cover panel.

9. Remove the hose (4) from the vehicle


Installation Procedure


1. With the help of an assistant, position the lead-through (3) in the hole in the cover panel.

Note

To avoid water leakage, verify the lead-through connection to the cover panel.


Use a thin, elongate tool to press the the lead-through end of the hose into the hole, while the assistant, outside the car, guides it into position.

3. Connect the front sunroof drain hose to the sunroof drain spigot (2).

4. Fit the sunroof drain hose from the attachment points on the windshield pillar (1).

5. If the work is performed the left side, dismantle the windscreen wiper linkage.

6. Water test the vehicle before installing the headlinder.

7. If the work is performed the right side, fit the air duct plate on the cover panel.

8. Fit the air intake raster panel.

9. Check the sunroof with respect to correct operation.

10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With C3U) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without C3U) .

11. Fit the windshield garnish molding.
