Engine Speed Sensor. No Signal During Engine Running.


Fault symptoms


• CHECK ENGINE lamp on.

• Limp home.


Conditions

The following conditions apply for this DTC:


• Engine speed above 850 rpm.

• The time between two crankshaft signals exceeds 40 ms 16 times in succession.


Diagnostic help

Diagnosis detects electrical faults. The control module uses the pump speed x 2 as a substitute value.

Note

A fault in the control module female connector can cause a trouble code. Check the contact for a bent pin, oxidation and tightness of pins. See Difficult faults in PSG16 despite trouble code
