Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lamp on.
P0670.4:
Glow Control Unit. Open Circuit.
P0670.6 and P0670.8:
Glow Control Unit. Short to B+
P0670.7:
Glow Control Unit. Short to Ground.
Fault symptoms
Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:

The diagnostic lead from the glow plug control module should switch high/low inversely to the activating lead from PSG 16 to the glow plug control module. If there is no inversion and the diagnostic lead (pin 9 on the glow plug control module) has the same status (high/low) as the activating lead (pin 6 on the glow plug control module) then the glow plug control module has reported a fault in the glow plug circuit, or there is an electrical fault in the diagnostic lead (pin 9).

P0670.4:
Break in activation circuit (K4). The DTC can only be generated if the glow function is not activated.

P0670.6 and P0670.8:
Activation circuit (pin K4) is shorted to B+. The DTC can only be generated if the glow function is activated.

P0670.7:
Activation circuit (pin K4) is shorted to ground.

Diagnostic help
The glow plug can be read and activated using the diagnostic tool.
If P0380 or P1380 is present, ignore them. Check the glow plug control module with regard to component faults, power supply and grounding. Check also the glow plug and its wiring.
