To remove |

Place the car on a lift.

Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See

Remove the
Bumper shell, front
.

Petrol
: Remove the intake air pipe at the horn console.
|
5. |
Petrol
: Remove the LH horn console and move it to the side.
|
6. |
Unplug the connector to the high-pressure switch.
|
7. |
Raise the car.
|
8. |
Petrol
: Remove the front cooling pipe to the battery shelf.
|
9. |
Detach the A/C pipes PAD connection from the condenser and receiver.
Plug the openings.
|
10. |
Remove the power steering cooling coil and bend it aside.
|
11. |
Petrol
: Remove the air duct to the air filter holder.
|
12. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
13. |
Remove the condenser from the upper attachment points.
|
14. |
Raise the car.
|
15. |
Remove the two air shields that are attached to the condenser.
|
16. |
Remove the condenser by moving it down in front of the radiator.
|
To fit |
1. |
Move the condenser up in front of the radiator until its lower catches sit in the lower guide grooves.
|
2. |
Fit the air shields on the condenser.
|
3. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
4. |
Fit the condenser in the upper attachment points.
|
5. |
Adjust the oil level in the compressor. See
Filling and adjustment of compressor oil
.

6. |
Raise the car.
|
7. |
Petrol
: Fit the air duct to the air filter holder. Do not tighten the hose clamp.
|
8. |
Fit the power steering cooling coil.
|
9. |
Screw the A/C pipes PAD connector to the condenser and receiver.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 lbf ft) |
10. |
Petrol
: Fit the front cooling pipe to the battery shelf.
|
11. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
12. |
Plug in the high-pressure switch connector.
|
13. |
Petrol
: Fit the intake air pipe.
|
14. |
Petrol
: Fit the left-hand horn console.
|
15. |
Raise the car.
|
16. |
Petrol
: Tighten the hose clamp on the air duct to the air filter holder.
|
17. |
Fit the
Bumper shell, front
.
|
18. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
19. |
Evacuate the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant. See
Draining and filling of refrigerant
