Expansion valve

| 1. | Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system. See

| 2. | Detach the A/C pipes from the expansion valve, 1 bolt in centre of valve. Plug the openings and move the pipes to one side. | |
| 3. | Remove the expansion valve, 2 countersunk hexagonal socket screws.   | |

| Be careful not to contaminate the new expansion valve. | ||
| 1. | Replace and lubricate the O-rings with synthetic vaseline, part no. 30 15 286. Fit the O-rings on the pipes from the evaporator. | |
| 2. | Press the expansion valve onto the A/C pipes to the evaporator and screw it on. Tightening torque: 5 Nm (4 lbf ft) | |
| 3. | Remove the plugs. Replace and lubricate the O-rings on the pipes from the compressor and condenser with synthetic vaseline, part no. 30 15 286. | |
| 4. | Insert the A/C pipes into the expansion valve.   | |
| 5. | Fit the PAD connection (washer) at the valve and screw it on. Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5 lbf ft) | |
| 6. | Evacuate the A/C system and fill with R134a refrigerant. See
