Motor and sensor, backrest adjustment

To remove



1. Remove the front seat from the car, see .

2. Undo the straps (A) holding the bottom of the backrest upholstery.

Undo the cables and their cable ties. Thread the cables through the hole.

3. Detach the upholstery strips (B) at the bottom.

4. Pull out the sheet (C) from the backrest upholstery.

5. Undo the rear of the backrest upholstery (A) by loosening the upholstery strip along the sides and folding the upholstery to the side.


6. Detach the upholstery strip (B) along one side on the rear of the backrest frame.

7. Remove the knob for the lumbar support adjustment (C).

8. Undo the upholstery hooks at the bottom edge of the backrest.

9. Fold up the upholstery and the cushion to the side of the backrest.

10. Unscrew the backrest adjustment motor, 2 screws (A).


11. Lift the motor (B) from the pinion.

12. Unplug the connector (C) for the backrest adjustment motor.


To fit



1. Refit the motor (B) to the pinion.

2. Fit the backrest adjustment motor, 2 screws (A).

3. Plug in the connector (C) for the backrest adjustment motor.

4. Fold back the upholstery and the cushion on the side of the backrest.

5. Refit the upholstery hooks at the bottom edge of the backrest.

7. Refit the upholstery strip (B) along the side on the rear of the backrest frame.

8. Refit the rear of the backrest upholstery (A) by fitting the upholstery strip along the sides and folding in the upholstery.


9. Refit the sheet (C) from the backrest upholstery.

10. Fit the upholstery strips (B) at the bottom.

11. Thread the cables through the holes. Refit the cables and cable ties.

12. Fit the straps (A) holding the bottom of the backrest upholstery.

13. Fit the front seat in the car, see .
