Checking the lead from the 16-pin connector and lock-up solenoid

Plug in the connector.

Remove the cover to the valve body, see 'Adjustment and replacement'

Unplug the connector:

Solenoid SLU.

Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 1 of the female connector and a good grounding point.

Contact TCM.

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Activate:

Solenoid SLU.

Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

The test lamp should light.

Is the function correct?
