Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement (Diesel)

Preliminary Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LDK/A20NHT) and Cooling System Draining and Filling (LBS/A20DTH) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LAU/A28NER) .

2. Disconnect any electrical connectors.

3. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose.

4. Disconnect the engine coolant air bleed hose.

5. Remove the engine coolant outlet pipe. Refer to Engine Coolant Outlet Pipe Replacement (Diesel) .

Procedures

1. Replace the O-ring seal.

2. After installation, fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LDK/A20NHT) and Cooling System Draining and Filling (LBS/A20DTH) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LAU/A28NER) .

3. After repairs, inspect the cooling system for leaks.
