Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement (Left Hand Drive)

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator. Refer to Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Driver Side .

2. Remove the clutch pedal cruise control release switch. Refer to Clutch Pedal Cruise Control Release Switch Replacement .

3. Remove the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (Diesel) Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LAU/A28NER) .

Clutch Pedal Return Spring

Procedures

Release the spring from the underside of the clutch pedal.

Clutch Pedal Master Cylinder Rod


Procedures

1. Depress the clutch pedal master cylinder rod retainers.

2. Lift the clutch pedal upwards.

3. Release the clutch pedal master cylinder rod.

Clutch Master Cylinder Fasteners (Qty: 2)

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Procedures

1. Release the retainers from the pedal housing.

2. Rotate the retainers inside the clutch pedal.

3. Remove the clutch pedal retainers.


Tighten

22 Nm (16 lb ft)

Clutch Master Cylinder Inlet Pipe

Procedures

Release the clutch master cylinder inlet pipe from the master cylinder.

Clutch Master Cylinder Outlet Pipe Retainer

Procedures

Lift the retainer upwards to release the clutch master cylinder outlet pipe.

Clutch Master Cylinder Modulator Outlet Pipe

Procedures

Release the clutch master cylinder modulator outlet pipe from the master cylinder.

Clutch Master Cylinder

Procedures

Bleed the hydraulic clutch. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding .
