Underbody Rear Side Rail Replacement

Removal Procedure


1. Remove the rear floor panel. Refer to Rear Floor Panel Replacement .

2.
Note

Note the number and location of the welds for installations of the service part.


Cut out the underbody rear side rail.


3. Locate and drill out all of the necessary factory welds.

4. Remove the damaged underbody rear side rail.


Installation Procedure



1.
Note

Refer to Welded, Brazed, and Riveted Joint Specifications .


Position the underbody rear side rail.

2. MIG-braze the underbody rear side rail.

3. Grind MIG brazed seams

4. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair (Base) Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair (Corrosion Protection) .

5. Install the rear floor panel. Refer to Rear Floor Panel Replacement .
