Circuit/System Verification |
1. |
Verify DTC B356A is not set.
|
2. |
If DTC is set, refer to
DTC B356A
.
|
3. |
Verify DTC B0987 is not set.
|
4. |
If DTC is set, refer to Circuit/System Testing.
|
Circuit/System Testing |
1. |
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module and the harness connector at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console.
|
2. |
Ignition ON, test for greater than 11 V between the ignition circuit terminal 3 at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console harness connector and ground.
|
3. |
If less than the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
|
4. |
Test for less than 0.3 V between the control circuit terminal 8 at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console harness connector and ground.
|
5. |
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for a short to voltage.
|
6. |
Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the control circuit terminal 8 at the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console harness connector and ground.
|
7. |
If less than the specified value, test control circuit for a short to ground.
|
8. |
Test for less than 5 Ω between the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console control circuit terminal 8 and the control circuit terminal 4 at the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module harness connector.
|
9. |
If greater than the specified value, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance.
|
10. |
If all circuits test normal, connect the harness connector to the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module, replace the S48E Multifunction Switch - Center Console and verify the DTC does not reset.
|
11. |
If the DTC resets, replace the K74 Vehicle Direction Camera Control Module.
