Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

3. Remove rear wheel speed sensor. Refer to Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement .

4. Remove the rear wheel bearing and hub. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (GNE, AWD) Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (GNE, FWD) Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (GNC) .

5. Remove the adjust link to knuckle bolt. Refer to Adjust Link Replacement (GNC) Adjust Link Replacement (GNE) .

6. Remove the rear axle upper control arm to knuckle bolt. Refer to Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement (GNC) Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement (GNE) .

Use a proper jack stand to load the knuckle when tightening the fasteners.
