Aerial rod (power aerial)


1. Remove the power aerial, see .


2. Remove the screws securing the aerial tube and withdraw the tube.

3. Connect the motor to a 12 V battery and wait until it stops with the aerial extended. Then carefully pull the antenna tube gear rack out of the motor.


4. Introduce the new gear rack into the motor with the teeth facing the motor. Apply a little grease to the gear rack.


5. Connect the motor to the battery again while carefully inserting the gear rack.

Note

Connect the motor to the positive battery terminal in stages to facilitate insertion of the gear rack.


6. When the entire gear rack has been wound in, disconnect the battery.

7. Fit the aerial tube.

Make sure that the tube is the right way round.
