Scrapping of belt pretensioners

Move the red plastic lever forwards to engage the belt pretensioner safety catch.

Remove the belt and belt tensioner,

(5D) and

Cut the belt in two.

Disengage the belt pretensioner safety catch.

Drop the pretensioner onto the floor to activate it. The sensor should point towards the floor.

Warning

The prescribed safety distance when scrapping a belt pretensioner is five metres.
