Condition: gearbox removed from car
| 1. | Remove the four screws of the seal holder. Lift out the screws and the seal holder and remove the O-ring.   | |
| 2. | Carefully tap out the bearing race with a hammer and a drift (destructive removal).

| Fitting | 
 
    
    | 1. | Fit (press) the new bearing race in place as far as it will go, using tools 87 91 246 and 87 91 204.  . Use support 87 92 236   | |
| 2. | Refit the seal holder with its O-ring. Tighten the screws alternately.   | |
Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft).
