Symptom: ABS (ANTI LOCK) warning lamp on, no ABS function.
Wheel sensor, incorrect number of teeth
Fault symptom
ABS (ANTI LOCK) warning lamp on, no ABS function.
Condition
The trouble code is generated if the speed of any wheel is at least 25%% higher than the
car's calculated speed for longer than 2 minutes or if the degree of slip of any wheel is
>4.5%% for longer than 2 minutes. In addition, the system will be turned off if the ABS is
activated for longer than 1 minute
Diagnostic help
A reading of the signal from the wheel sensor on any wheel can be obtained with the
ISAT scan tool.
The current wheel speed in km/h is displayed.
Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the diagnostic trouble code

Connect the ISAT scan
tool.

Start the car and drive it at a steady speed. Read WHEEL SPEEDS as described
under "Diagnostic help". Compare the four wheel speeds shown on the ISAT scan tool. All
wheel speed readings should be the same.

Are the ISAT scan tool readings OK?
Continue with point 2.
If the FL reading is inconsistent,
Continue fault diagnosis as described for B1371.
If the FR reading is inconsistent,
Continue fault diagnosis as described for B1376.
If the RL reading is inconsistent,
Continue fault diagnosis as described for B1381.
If the RR reading is inconsistent,
Continue fault diagnosis as described for B1386.
2 Final check

code.

Drive the car at varying engine loads and rpm for 5 minutes.
