Seat belts with belt tensioners
The cars are equipped with front seat belts as defined by law in the respective markets. All seat belts have been subjected to tests for type approval. On the belt there is a label stating manufacturer, part number and year of manufacture, codes for type approval as well as Saab original part number.
Important
The label must not be removed from the belt. No modifications or repairs may be made to the seat belts and the anchorage points must not be altered. Make sure that the type of belt fitted and its positioning comply with the specification given in spare parts literature.
Important
If the car has been involved in an accident and a seat-belt tensioner activated the seat-belt, buckle and end attachment should be changed. If any of the rear seat belts have been used in the accident they should be changed together with the seat-belt buckle, seat-belt member and brackets. If no seat-belt tensioner has been activated, carefully check all belts and other equipment.
