Replacem., motor and position sensor, backrest rake angle adjustment

Electrically adjustable seat without memory:
Remove the seat

Electrically adjustable seat with memory:
Remove the seat,
, but run the backrest to the calibration position (distance A = 40 ± 3 mm) before lifting out the seat. If the motor does not work, set the calibration position as described in point 13.

Electrically adjustable seat with memory:
Unplug the motor connector under the seat.

Electrically adjustable seat without memory:
Unplug the central connector under the seat and remove the backrest rake angle adjustment motor connections.
|

Cut the staples securing the lower edge of the backrest upholstery.
|
6.
|
Prise open the metal tabs to release the two rods tensioning the upholstery at the front.
|
7.
|
Pull up the upholstery as far as possible.
|
8.
|
Cut the foam padding tensioner staples.
|
9.
|
Remove the sprung mat's two bottom springs.
|
10.
|
Remove the motor retaining bolts.
|
11.
|
Snip through the cable tie holding the motor wiring.
|
12.
|
Lift out the motor with wiring.
|
13.
|
Motor not working:
Put the backrest in the calibration position (distance A = 40 ± 3 mm), turn the backrest adjuster shaft manually with a pair of pliers. Take care not to bend the shaft.

Fit in reverse order. Fasten the upholstery with staples using the tool supplied with assembly kit,

Important
|
On assembly, the gear can easily fall off the motor's drive shaft.
|
Make sure that the wiring is fitted in the same position as before, so that it will not be nipped.
|
For backrest rake angle adjustment to be correct, the backrest must be in the calibration position when the motor and position sensor are fitted.
