To remove


1. Operate the soft top so that it is in the position illustrated.


2. Remove the side trim. See

3. Remove the screws securing the motor.


4. Cut off the cable ties.

5. Unplug the electrical connector and lift up the motor.



To fit



1. Put the motor in place and connect the wiring.

2. Fit new cable ties so that the wiring is not damaged when the soft top is operated.


3. Apply threadlocker to the motor retaining screws and tighten them.

4. Put back the side trim. See

5. Connect the diagnostic tool, clear any diagnostic trouble codes and then program the control module. See .
