The fifth bow and soft top cover must be in a raised position. Remove the side trim. See

Remove the nuts securing the left-hand side of the soft top.
|
|
| 3. |
Lift the soft top backwards on the left-hand side and detach the potentiometer arm from the soft top mechanism.

| 4. |
Remove the screws securing the potentiometer.
|
|
| 5. |
Cut off the cable ties.
|
|
| 6. |
Unplug the electric connection, pull out the wires and lift out the potentiometer.

Put the potentiometer in place and position the wiring.
|

| 2. |
Tighten the potentiometer retaining screws.
|
|
| 3. |
Attach the potentiometer arm to the soft top mechanism.
|
|
| 4. |
Connect the wiring and secure it with a cable tie so that is will not be damaged when the soft top is operated.
|
|
| 5. |
Position the soft top mechanism using a 10 mm drill in the guide hole and tighten the retaining screws.
Tightening torque 28 Nm (20.7 lbf ft) |

Put back the side trim. See

Connect the diagnostic tool, clear any diagnostic trouble codes and then program the control module. See
