Soft top cover latch

To remove


1. Remove the rear side trim. See .

2. Fold down the backrest.

3. Mark out the position of the control cable and then loosen the nuts.


4. Remove the clips securing the cable and fold the cable to one side.

5. Remove the screws securing the microswitch and move the switch away from the latch.

6. Mark out the position for the latch lengthways and in height.

7. Remove the retaining nuts and lift away the latch.


To fit



1. Fit the latch as marked and tighten the nuts.

2. Put the microswitch in place and tighten the screws.

3. Put the control cable in place in its previously adjusted position and tighten the nuts.

4. Put the end of the cable in place on the latch and press on the clip.

5. Check the latch function. Adjust as necessary. See .

6. Put back the side trim. See
